VILLAGE D'EUS

Built in terraces in the scrubland between the Conflent Valley and Mount Canigou, this former defensive site had to repel the French in the sixteenth century and the Spanish army in the eighteenth century. Today, instead of the old citadel is the imposing church of St. Vincent at the foot of which sloped the narrow streets paved with pebbles.

CAVE OF FONTRABIOUSE

Located in the village of the same name, the cave of Fontrabiouse was discovered in 1958, thanks to the exploitation of the Marble quarry overlooking the village. A shot of mine shows a spacious cavity spread over two levels and to update an underground landscape extremely rich and concrete.

PETIT TRAIN JAUNE

Le Train Jaune appelé aussi le Canari du fait de sa couleur, relie Villefranche-de-Conflent (427 mètres) à Latour-de-Carol (1232 mètres) sur un parcours de 63 km et gravit 1200 mètres de dénivelé jusqu'à la gare de Bolquère , la plus haute de France à 1593 mètres. D’un bout à l’autre de la ligne il met 3h pendant lesquelles vous aurez tout loisir de photographier le paysage de la vallée de la Têt et du plateau Cerdan.

ANDORRA

A Pyrenean enclave wedged between France and Spain, Andorra is one of those few European countries as big as a pocket handkerchief, remained suspended in time. His regime is unique in its kind: a joint body, under the joint tutelage and largely symbolic of the President of the French Republic and the Bishop of Urgell Catalan!

THE LAKE OF BOUILLOUSES

The Bouillouses site is a classified natural site. It is very famous, in France as in Spain. The lunar scenery and the multitude of small lakes around the trail leading to the summit of Carlit peak are all the charm of the site. This lake of altitude (2000m) is the highest lake that can be reached by road or chairlift all the Pyrenean massif.
